Founder, creator and visionary of Rangoli, Prema Florence Isaac of French and Caribbean descent was born in 1977 in Auroville. Inspired by the timeless traditions and vibrant colors of India, consumed by the richness of colours and texture, Isaac founded her fashion house in 1999 amidst a fusion of cultures. Rangoli, an extension of Prema, is an expression of herself, of spontaneity, each piece is created by playing with texture, colours, layers and light creating a natural expression of harmony; a youthful, colourful, classy and feminine beauty.
More than 10 years of constant research and experimentation in designing, Rangoli aims at innovation in fabric as each style is carefully hand-crafted with novel techniques and superior quality hand-woven cotton and silk yarn from the finest looms and hand-crafted techniques to produce clothing and accessories to complement emerging international fashion trends.
Our philosophy
We believe that traditional art form should be secured from disappearing in our changing times. Our vision is to be able to create and manufacture clothing and accessories to suit emerging international fashion trends whilst incorporating and not losing the traditional forms of our varied Indian culture.
